2007
The Beginning
Some people spend years searching for their calling. Kara Elaine found hers at 16, pressing her face against the glass of a hair school she was determined to walk into. She didn't wait. That same year, she began her training — working behind the chair as a junior in high school, driven by a love of artistry that had nowhere to go but forward. By 18, she was officially licensed and already building something.

2018
The Turning Point
For nearly a decade, Kara thrived — opening her own salon in Fort Wayne, Indiana, then relocating to Nashville in 2015 to chase a bigger vision. But success came with a hidden cost. Years of working with conventional color lines left her battling debilitating migraines after almost every appointment. Something had to change. In 2018, she discovered organic color — and everything did. The migraines stopped. Her health returned. Her clients noticed the difference. She never touched a toxic product again.

2019–2020
The Inspiration
In 2019, Kara's world shifted in the most personal way. Her father, Rob — her business mentor, her biggest champion, the man who helped her navigate every spreadsheet and dream she'd ever had — was diagnosed with cancer. She stood beside him for eleven months. He passed in 2020. An accountant by trade, Rob had always been the quiet force behind her ambitions. His fight for his health, and his unwavering belief in hers, became the seed of what would come next.

2022
The Birth of R.O.B.
When the opportunity to open her own space arrived in 2022, Kara knew exactly what it needed to be. Not just a salon — a legacy. She named it Rooted Organic Beauty, initials chosen deliberately: R.O.B. — A tribute to her father. A promise to her clients. Today, the salon stands as both a sanctuary and a statement — that beauty rooted in health is not a luxury, it's a necessity. Every appointment is a reminder of why she started.
